I would like to share a recent experience. I went in first thing in the morning, the girl working did all the opening tasks with gloves on then proceeded to get my baked goods with those same gloves on. My suggestion is to please put new gloves on after touching anything other then the food you are serving OR use tongs/ tissue paper. I was speechless and didn't know how to ask her to do this after ordering $20 worth of pastries. My partner observed the entire experience from the car and went to explaining the uncomfortable situation, her response was "I swear over my child, I changed my gloves". A simple apology or offer to get fresh goodies or a refund would have been acceptable, but instead she lied to our face (hency why I am giving this review). However, I will give 2 stars because my many other encounters have been wonderful and I will give Monica's another go.

These folks are Epic. They made and delivered a sole cupcake in my time of need. The service was definitely above and beyond my expectations and I would like to thank every single one of them for being absolutely incredible. Not all heroes wear capes! Cheers Mac

While I am no key lime pie aficionado, this is the best lime pie I have ever eaten! It was made fresh, perfect grahm cracker crust that melted in my mouth with the filling, and not a chunk that had to chewed up, and perfectly sweetened real whipped cream. I had no idea that there is a differece in limes and that they tasted completely different, until very recently. I believe this is the real deal in key lime pie as it had a very different flavor, which I preferred over regular limes. Nice little place that have their COVID procedures down and very clean. Even with limited service, they still have a nice variety of yummy selections. Our first time to Monica's but we will definately go back.

Love their quiche and cookies! Food is delicious, love that it's a walk from the park.

Today is the first time I have driven into Old town Silverdale since 2019. I decided to grab a drink at Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Cafe, the last time and only other time I ate something from them was 2018 or so. My main goal was to try one of their Americano's. 8 oz Americano at $2.50. Once I went in and discovered they had soup, I inquired about what soups were available; they offered two, but Allie had me at Broccoli Cheddar! I chose a cup of soup, which also came with a roll. The soup was heavenly and offered so many flavors on so many different levels. The roll, what can I say, it was a roll, nothing terrible about it, but nothing that made me think I would purchase them for a dinner party; but that's ok because it tasted great dipped in the soup ;) The Americano? In my opinion, it had a robust taste with a floral background and a little bitter taste at the end. Was it my favorite? No, but I can appreciate trying something new in taste; in fact, I welcomed it! And just because it wasn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't popular with many other people! You never know until you try! Monicas Bakery is on the smaller side but offers the "wow" factor due to the array of baked goods and quiches displayed, amongst many other delightful yummies. The little cafe itself is colorful, bright and draws your attention to everything! Monica's offers up not only baked goods and quiches but sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and combos. Allie was my server, although not very talkative, she wasn't rude either; I feel Allie is a bit shy, nothing wrong with that, but pleasantries go a long way. My only small issue is that I would like to see Monica's switch to wrapped plastic ware instead of loose uncovered items, at least until Covid is more under control. A couple of major takeaways from Monica's Waterfront Bakery and Cafe say a lot about them; everything is made fresh daily. They are a small business that is all about earth-friendly practices that support other small businesses like local farmers if, for no other reason, that is a plus in my book! Anyone interested in trying Monica's Waterfront Bakery and Cafe, you can find them at 3472 NW Byron Street in old town Silverdale, within walking distance to Silverdale Waterfront Park. Although Monica has a small parking lot, Old town Silverdale is under major construction, so there is no street parking on Byron Street, at least for now. **Please continue to support all locally owned small businesses; they support our community when we help them. Stay strong and stay safe together!!**
