We are a full service diner, with a separate walk up cafe. I have designed the service and menu to make sure you will never be stuck waiting or wanting.
So after reading several good reviews about this place my husband and I decided to try out Cray's Diner this morning. When we arrived they weren't that busy as there were only 2 guests ahead of us. I must say that we were extremely unimpressed with their food and their coffee. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side order of their breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were bland and dry and the biscuits and gravy had an odd flavor to them... Is country gravy supposed to be sweet? I Ordered the M.O.A.B.B (Mother of all breakfast burrito) First of all the entire thing was cold and soggy and I had to keep the bag we carried our food out in underneath it the whole time because it was dripping with grease. The salsa and the pico looked like they were cooked into the eggs, I was hoping for a little bit of that but it all just looked like mush inside. The meat that was in it was mostly chunks of fat. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. We also ordered 2 cups of regular coffee as well and I wound up having it thrown out at a local coffee shop because it tasted like I was drinking a cup of liquid smoke. Cray's Diner is by far the worst place I have ever eaten. I'd give them no stars had it not been for the nice young man at the counter. That was probably the only nice thing about our visit.
Killer burritos and 'sparkle pancakes' made with passion by locals. Cheaper than you'd think. Art on the walls, good music. Easily the best breakfast downtown.
Deeelish MoMo's vegan scramble! (Thanks for the suggestion, Mo! 😍)
I’m so grateful for the wide selection of vegan options on the menu. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Amazing restaurant with a witty and funny owner. He put together the menu by giving vegans and customers the chance to make their dream menu.
