ChocMo (formerly CBC Chocolates) was founded in 2005 by then 15 year old Peter Crabtree, after taking a Culinary Arts class at West Sound Academy. Peter grew the chocolate business throughout high school; opening the first retail shop in this same location in 2007. In April 2011, Peter re-opened as ChocMo after an extensive remodel.
We still make all the chocolates by hand right here in the store, and are extremely committed to using local, sustainable ingredients whenever possible. To that end, we feature nuts from CB’s, Salmon from Crimson Cove, and all the beef on the menu comes from our own cows, raised in Kingston.
